A New Bridge Over The Liffey in Celbridge

A New Bridge for Celbridge

We have the design for the New bridge over the Liffey in Celbridge. After an extensive consultation and design process we believe this is the ideal solution to the traffic problems in Celbridge.

We have had constructive meetings with planners, engineers, and lollipop ladies. All are in agreement with the design and new traffic flows.

This design means that pedestrians can take the overhead route avoiding vehicular traffic on the roadway.

The six lanes means that cars from Ardclough Road can take the left hand lane and turn left onto the Clane Road.

Cars from Dublin can take the right hand lane and turn right up Main Street.

Cars from the Newcastle Road can take the middle lane and drive straight ahead via the new Inner Relief Road.

This does mean that The Village Inn and half of St. Patrick’s Park will be demolished to make way for the new road.

This may inconvenience a small minority of people but it will speed many peoples journey home of an evening.

A consultation process conducted entirely on Facebook has given the project overwhelming support. This is democracy at work.

We look forward to the Grand Opening in May 2120.
